Yui Mizuno

Born in Osaka in 1982. Mizuno completed her undergraduate degree in Japanese painting at Kyoto University of Art and Design.

She explores themes and motifs drawn from what personally attracts or interests her, extracting colors from these sources and recombining them to construct a new and unique visual world. She is mainly inspired by photographs and images and puts colors on canvas, extracting the colors from the surface and thinking about the inner world as well.
